Colorado Skiing Guide

Colorado Ski Lodging

When I travel to certain parts of Colorado, these are the places I stay and feel comfortable recommending. If you have a problem at one of these places, let me know.

Crested Butte Lodging

  • Nordic Inn - Crested Butte is a fun ski mountain. The Nordic Inn puts you close to it, but not too far away from town. The outdoor hot tub feels great after a day of hiking in the summer or of skiing in the winter.

Durango/ Purgatory Lodging

  • The Lodge at Tamarron - Units 228 and 230 are outstanding. We have only stayed there in the summer, but plan to go back this winter. Top-notch facility, I strongly recommend a few nights rest here.

Steamboat Springs Lodging

  • Pioneer Ridge Management - I stay in their "Scandinavian Lodge" property. It is a ski-in/ ski-out building with an outdoor heated pool. I have stayed here in the summer and the winter, and totally recommend it.

Summit County Lodging

  • Copper Vacations - I have not stayed in their units, but I have known Craig and Cathi Kneuper for almost 10 years now. I have no doubt in my mind that they will make your stay a most enjoyable one.
  • Vacation Rentals - I don't stay in Summit County very often (it's a day trip for me), but when I do, I stay in one of their units. James will take care of you.

Winter Park Lodging

  • Vacations Inc - It has been a long time since I have stayed in Winter Park, but Vacations Inc treated me right and had a great selection of properties with all the amenities you might need.
