Where I know of a shop providing lift ticket discounts, a link is given. All shops will generally sell tickets to the same mountain for the same price. This price is generally the minimum a given resort will allow a ticket to be sold for.
Many areas are now offering a "youth" or "student" rate, for kids between the ages of 13-18. Not all of them do this, so I have not started a new category for it.
Some areas offer tickets online. Discounts are inline with what you can get from a ski shop. Ski shops may be more convenient if you need to rent gear.
Some areas offer lift ticket discounts in conjunction with local lodging providers. Be sure to ask your lodging company about packages that include lift tickets and other things, like pool passes (Glenwood/ Sunlight), etc.
